The Latte Factor

Really excited to share this book - I not only finished it in two days (which is pretty unheard of for me), but I finished it feeling motivated and inspired and even excited. David Bach paints financial pictures that pretty much everyone can relate to, and then explains how to manage our money better in them - with an undertone of live-your-best-life inspo. Even better, he does it all under the guise of a short story about a millennial living the 9-5 life in NYC, so it’s incredibly easy to digest. Highly recommended to everyone, and especially those that feel like they’ll never get out from under their money troubles.

Soulful Simplicity

In this book, Courtney Carver reminds us that the idea of simplifying does not just refer to the physical belongings we own, but that a more minimalist lifestyle can positively impact every aspect of our lives. She shares her personal story of going from an overworked and highly distracted mom, to a much calmer, happier, and more present version of herself, all by way of a serious health diagnosis that inspired massive change in her life. She asks us to examine the ways we think we need to do more, have more, be more and argues that, in fact, we can achieve the life we want when we finally embrace less, all while supplying practical exercises for getting there. Recommended for anyone feeling overwhelmed (aka most people).
