To get something you've never had...

It's been a bit of a crazy week (...month... year so far...), but it's a gorgeous [warm] day here in NYC and I feel like the chips - which had been tossed up in the air and were swirling all over the place - are starting to land in a new and refreshingly different configuration. Sometimes we need that - to have our foundation rocked - so we can see that there's a different way to do things; so we can see that maybe the way we were doing things, wasn't actually working.

It's preferable that we rock our own foundation, but if we resist change and grip real tight to what we know and the way we think it all needs to go, often times the universe will step in and do the rocking for us. That's kinda what my year has been like so far, and I'm grateful for it, albeit a bit tousled.

I ask myself (and my clients): Where does it feel like you're banging your head against the wall? Where do you feel like you're hitting bedrock? And, perhaps most importantly of all, where do you feel like you're not showing up as the person you want to be? That last one is a good indicator that something might be off. Sure it's easy to blame others and outside circumstance, "but my boss just makes me so mad, I don't usually complain this much," but we can't change others, so it may be a sign that we have to make a change for ourselves.

I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes...

To get something you've never had,
you've got to do something you've never done.

-Thomas Jefferson, supposedly

So I ask you all these same questions today. Where are you just doing the same thing, and expecting different results? Is it time to shake things up? To toss the chips and see if there's a better way they could land? Maybe you don't even need all those chips. I urge you to do it before the universe gets sassy and decides to step in, it's just a little more pleasant that way. But sometimes we can't even see that there is another way, and sometimes we're just so. damn. scared.

So let me help! I have two openings right now for my 1:1 coaching container, and it feels like a great time for a little pre-spring life changing magic, doesn't it? In my coaching program I help you get to the core of who you are and what you want. I help you see what's movable in your life, and what commitments to keep for yourself. We build that relationship with self, that deep trust and intuition, and we do a little re-org. When we hit blocks, we don't go around them, we dig into them, reprogramming limiting beliefs and taking off the goggles that are fogging your perspective.

The thing you think you need might not be the thing you really need. Sometimes it's hard to see for ourselves where the disconnect is, and that's where I come in. I'd love to help you live in a way that feels more aligned with the person you know in your gut that you are.

Are you ready to do something you've never done? Or are you afraid of playing big, of finally getting off the hamster wheel, or of abandoning all those quick fixes that you know deep down aren't really gonna "fix" anything but they keep you busy and make you feel satisfied that at least you're trying...? It's time for something bigger, something differentBook a free call to get started today.

Til next time ;)
